Todos los días, me levanto a las 5:15 de la mañana para ir a caminar. Pero antes de arreglarme, me ocupo de hacer el café y de recoger la "caca" de mi perra Susy, que llevo a un contenedor que tiene un señor, especialista en preparar abonos para las plantas con los desechos de los animales. Esto se ha convertido para mí en una gran solución, ya que no tengo el hábito de sacar a la perra a la calle a hacer sus necesidades. Pero hoy, todo se complicó a la hora de salir, ya que no encontraba la llave de la casa, entonces tuve que hacer el ejercicio de devolverme al cuarto, ir al baño, revisar el mesón de la cocina, la nevera y la despensa. A todas estas, mi hermana me recordaba que el reloj avanzaba y que por mis descuidos, ella iba a llegar tarde a su trabajo.
Bueno, le dije: "Vamos, pero antes, deja revisar la cartera"; y allí estaba la llave, muerta de la risa, haciéndome saber que ando en modo "piloto automático". Lo cierto es que cerré la reja con llave y no vi que ante mis ojos estaba la bolsita con la "caca" de Susy. Así que no siempre lo que tenemos ante nuestros ojos es visible. Creo que esto aplica para todo en la vida.
Every day, I get up at 5:15 in the morning to go for a walk. But before getting ready, I make coffee and pick up my dog Susy's poop, which I take to a container run by a man who specializes in composting animal waste. This has become a great solution for me, since I don't have the habit of taking her out to relieve herself. But today, everything got complicated when it was time to leave, because I couldn't find my house key. So I had to go back to my room, go to the bathroom, check the kitchen counter, the refrigerator, and the pantry. All the while, my sister was reminding me that time was ticking and that because of my carelessness, she was going to be late for work.
Well, I said, "Let's go, but first, let me check my purse." And there it was, the key, laughing all the way to the bank, letting me know I'm on autopilot. The truth is, I locked the gate and didn't see the little bag of Susy's poop right in front of me. So, what's right in front of us isn't always visible. I think this applies to everything in life.
