In fact, I thought, they were so boring I had forgotten most of them.
Dark Night reached around the surface and pulled out a laptop. She opened it and put it on the sofa beside her. I could see it booting up, strange strings of letters and numbers that didn't really make sense. This was no normal computer.
"This is no normal computer," Dark Night confirmed. She pulled the box from her pocket and began to poke it. To my surprise, it began to open. A window of light appeared at the centre of it and it began to unfold. Suddenly she held in her hand not a box but a thin stick, unlike any memory stick I had ever seen. But I guessed that was what it was.
Dark Night slid the stick into the side of the laptop and pressed a few keys. The screen went dark.
"Bollocks!" she said and gave it a slap. It made a noise, a sound like a dog makes when you step on its foot by mistake, and then the screen came back on, full of colours and shapes that span around and around until it formed a picture.
