I've been always interested in learning French
Today, I talked to my friend with keen interest in learning new languages
The friend is my student for whom I teach English
She moved to Japan when she turned 20.
Staying in Japan, she took a linguistic course, reaching to the level
she can even argue with native Japanese speaker and beat them.
3 years was the minimum period to speak Japanese fluently, said my friend
Before taking my English course, she had taken Spanish basic language course, too
Not long before, she quit though.
While talking each other on the phone, we happened to know
both of us are interested in learning new languages as well as English
I introduced a free application teaching French
We've decided to practice French while texting
We chat away after Saturday class
I remember one Saturday hanging out with her at a coffee shop
where I saw two girls talking to each other in French
The tone, and intonation heard from those two girls sound beautiful and very appealing
There's a saying that
If you want to learn a new language or take up a new habit
you need to keep it at least 20 days
We texted in French
which was as simple as "hello, how are you? I'm good"
We had a very short conversation in French
But we felt fun and very encouraged to keep doing it
We made a promise that we would speak in French in 6 months at the cafe in which
we heard two Korean girls speaking in French
