Well it was time for my yearly off road 4x4 adventure with friends.
Every year in the summertime we plan a couple day adventure somewhere in the province of British Columbia Canada.
This year we planned on seeing some abandoned mines in the Hedley BC area.
These are the old French Mines that we explored. Accessible by a 4x4 vehicle or by parking on the trial and walking a few kilometers to the mines.
Hedley became popular when gold was first discovered in 1898.
There a couple other mines we didn't have time to check out. One I believe (Nickle Plate Mine) is still operational. Those mines are the Nickle plate mine and the mascot mine.
The main road to the mines are pretty good. It's the side roads to access the mines that you need a 4x4 or atv to get to the mines. You can park before the roads get bad and walk in.
There are a few old structures still standing.
We didn't venture to far in the mines for safety reasons but still very cool to see.
Later in the day we found another amazing mine where we were able to drive our jeeps in.
And there were lots of amazing views of the valley.
Well that was our yearly 4x4 adventure. :)
And we found an amazing spot to camp. :)
