Sometimes while visiting Purwokerto, we dont know what is the famous food there among Getuk Goreng, Klanthing, Soto Sokaraja or Tempe Mendoan.
I found not far from Purwokerto, just 45 minutes approx, a place to enjoy Serayu River prawn. Its still fresh and we can enjoying by frying or roast.

It is available there, collected from fisherman that work on Serayu River and they put it in their refridgerator.
We just choose and they will measure its weight for cost and they will make a yummy prawn with it. In biological science, fresh water prawn from Serayu River classify as Macrobranchius rosenbergii species. And after some frying process they became :
I am sorry not put something known to measure their size with something known. But I think its big enough, as Indonesian, I eat 3 of them and I am satisfied enough :). For completing fresh water prawn, its available also "Pete" you can eat fresh or being burn first with some chili, its very delicious.
