I found this pumice stone in Guatemala.
Pumice is created when super-heated, highly pressurized rock
is violently ejected from a volcano. The rough texture and
porosity is due to the rapid depressurization and quick
cooling causing the gases to exsolve.
Usually light in colour, and very light in weight, it will....
actually float in the water.
