Looks like petrified lichens!

Alaskan Chrysanthemum Stone

I bought this small slab
from our local rock shop.

Size of the little rock flowers.

These lower photos are
more like the way this stone
looks to me, color wise.

Full view sitting on my rock book.
It's about a 1/2 inch thick.
