For the first time in my life, I went out of my district leaving my hometown for my engineering studies. My engineering college is located in a area where it is a centre point to two other states i.e., Bangalore, Tamilnadu and ours. If we travel on a bike in other directions for just twenty or twenty five minutes, our mobiles will pickup roaming signal from other states. It was back in 2010, so other state roaming calls get cost. Sometimes we receive roaming signal in our hostel itself. That place is categorised as town type but it looked like a village. The weather of that place is cool enough for me to fee like I was in Bangalore.
During those college days, we tend to celebrate birthday of our friends surprisingly. We all collect from one another except the birthday guy, without his knowledge and we go to town and bring cake and candles along with tamotos and eggs. Some of you may ask, what purpose should they have in a birthday cake cutting, the thing is in boys hostal after the cake cutting we surround the birthday guy and throw tamatos and eggs at him. These was fun at that time. We all receive our monthly expenses from our family and it will be over by the middle of the month or in the first week itself. After that we tend to stay in the hostal only with out going out thinking it will cost us money.
At that one of the money tight situations, one of our friend birthday has came. We need to go out and bring cake along with the necessary fun items. But we don't have enough money. The birthday guy is a type of person who doesn't put his money out, always being careful with his expenses up to pennies too. That got us thinking, we should make him pay for his own cake, otherwise he won't let his money out. Then we began the ruse of some other guy birthday is today and we don't have any money for to bring cake and we all have gone to him to ask for money and after one hour of exercise with the words of meaning of friendship and motivating him, he finally gave the money.
Two of us gone to the town and brought the cake along with the eggs and the tamotos. At night 12:00 O'clock we all gather and the birthday guy was also present at the spot thinking that we will all make fun of the ruse birthday guy. The candle was lighted and the first egg was dropped with force on the head of the real birthday guy. He was shocked and at that time we gave him the word to cut the cake first and we will explain it later. He cut the cake and we facialed all the cake to the face of the birthday guy and we chase him with tamotos and eggs to beat him.
The fun was over by 1:30 and we all bathed in the bathrooms and gone to sleep. In the morning all are having body pains due to chasing and get beaten by tamotos too. See we don't target the birthday guy only, we target all. On the day of his birthday afternoon he has takenall of us to a dabha and we all had a wonderful lunch together and laughed so much on the ruse and making him pay for his own birthday cake and we came back to hostel and the life continued
Sometimes when thought of this situation, we were really having fun in college times. But now only job, family, salary, EMIs, goals and financial stability. Our minds are filled with these only now. Catch you up in my next post guys.
