You can not teach a person anything, you can only help him to discover it in oneself.
Galileo Galilei
It took a very long time for me to grasp this fact. As a seeker, I always tried to be better than I used to be, as I was a student, I always wanted better grades than my classmates and while walking, I always wanted to be better than my friends. I could continue this list endlessly.
Fortunately, this looks different today
I'm just trying to be a little bit better than yesterday. That's much more fun. I no longer compare myself with others, just with myself. The good thing about it is, it works and it motivates. Just want to beat yourself is also more fun because you can then look forward much more about the successes.
So just a little better today than yesterday and a little better tomorrow than today. So you continuously improve your self-management and the learning and success curve is steadily increasing.
"There is only one success: being able to live life according to your own ideas."
Christopher Morley
