And it's Fri-yay!
After the harvest, Mr. K decided to take a break from farm work. My brother offered him a different job and he agreed to do it, so he left with Mr. B yesterday morning. Thankfully, someone referred workers from the Visayas, and they will be here next week, so we won't feel the absence for long.
So with all the boys gone, I spent most of yesterday reorganizing their living quarters, changing beddings and such. Thankfully, Mr. K already cleaned the place, so I didn't have to do that myself.
Laundry was supposed to be taken care of, but there is a blackout. One of the transformers nearby may have been hit by the lightning, and either the power company couldn't fix it yet, or no one reported it so they are still unaware.
So yep, we are on solar energy until our power gets restored. While it can be inconvenient to be without electricity, I thought it's a good chance to be off the screen, and perhaps discover one's creativity by doing something else.
And since we don't have internet (we lost the Starlink signal Wednesday night), the hubby went to bed early for the very first time in months! He paused from his endless scrolling. He's having a digital detox for the time being, lol😅
Me? Thank goodness I didn't have any open trades in the market, so there's nothing to monitor. It's just *Hiving (this is my digital diary after all)😅 and a bit of browsing, flipping through favorite pages and such.
Joke aside, we may continue on the formwork of the waste tank, and hopefully be able to do the slab by next week. The unused cement in the bags are hardening, so no more postponement please☺️ We really have to work on our habit of putting things on hold!
We'll be off the grid most of today.
