Do you know how awkward it feels when you are conversing with some friends and they tell you the things they did while growing up and you couldn’t relate to it? Sometimes it might not even be about childhood, it might be about the fun moment they created time for and you TOTALLY feel within you how you missed out or how you yearned to have that.
Go ahead and have it. Don’t take life too serious, you can’t get out of it alive. Life is about fun too, so don’t be left behind.
Go out and meet with people. Walk your dog, watch football matches, go for dance lessons even if you are horrible at it. Try out a gym, even for a week, and lose interest afterward.
Do something you can always look back on and laugh about. Create memories you can be proud of, create memories you can sit your children or family down with, while you share it with them. Let them laugh at you, let them see the bright and fun part of it because these moments create amazing memories and bonds.
Everyone wants to see that aspect of you they haven’t seen in a long while or that aspect on you that has been locked away. Try and dish and fail at it. Kick a ball and fall. Watch cartoons and laugh like a crazy man. Sing and sing it so bad. Smile even if your face is hard, it will take some getting used to and practice. Keep at it. Have fun, life is not meant to be so hard. Don’t be too rigid about it.
There was a man who never laughed or played, he never sang, he never smiled or prayed and when one day he died, his insurance was denied for they claimed he never really lived, so he never really died.
We are the ones who make life hard with our approach. We are the ones who think this and that is how life is supposed to be. We are the ones who give meanings to what we shouldn’t give. We are the ones sniffling fun out of life, making it all about work, seriousness, and protocol. Life should be fun too and I said that with balance in mind.
Have some fun. Whatever comes to your mind while thinking about this, just do it!.
Thank you for your time.
