Life offers us the opportunity to celebrate every day. Today Is National Merry-Go-Round Day. The Merry-Go-Round is often our first amusement park ride we ever took as a kid. There is something magical about Merry-Go-Rounds, with the beautiful animals to ride on, the lights, and music. Riding a Merry-Go-Round as an adult brings back the joy of childhood. Celebrate today by sharing your favorite memory of riding a Merry-Go-Round! Mine Merry-Go-Round memory is written as a poem.

FLYING HORSES CAROUSEL
the ferry was on its way,
As I looked inward,
put my mind at ease.
once we reached the shore.
our first stop in Oak Bluffs.
We were under a magic spell,
could not be ignored!
lined up behind the pickets.
our delight was hard to hide.
to select a noble steed.
the horse began to hit his groove.
as the ride went around.
I noticed the ring arm,
”Go for the Brass Ring!”
Bob became my human leash,
I knew for sure,
I opened my hand to find,
no free ride was the deal.
I went for the brass.
Bob gave me a kiss.
the love of the best man under the sun!
A rider reaching for for a ring. If you end up with the brass ring, you get to ride the carousel again for free!
