So this morning…
The kids wake up revving to go, of course. They always do.
I’m still trying to open my eyes and they’re like, “Play with us, play with us.” And I’m grateful they want me to play with them, so I agree to set up the train tracks. Haven't done yoga yet, or properly satisfied my Steemit addiction, but my family comes first.
Of course, they pick the hardest track configuration.
facepalm
Look at this diagram.
Doesn’t that look like fun first thing in the morning? With two toddlers “helping?”
(from Thomas and Friends Track Master set)
All those little pieces. And they're learning to read letters and numbers, so I'm like EC3, and they give me whatever part they think is the right one... Sometimes they get them right, too, which makes me a very proud mommy. But half the time they're pushing the pieces I don't need in my face and I'm like...
sigh
In the end, I managed to get it, and they played on it for a while (so I could play on Steemit).
hooray!
We've also done this configuration...
And we did this set-up yesterday.
I say “we,” but you know who is really putting these things together.
Mommy is doing it. Of course she is. But they have fun playing together, until they either break the tracks apart or start fighting over something. Twins are fun!
Actually, they are. They have a built-in best friend. It’s amazing. I’m grateful for them.
I hope this made you smile, and coaxed your inner child to come out and play!
Take care of yourself. You are a gift!
