Establishing a Tree Nursery with Earth Rangers' UPB Tree Pots
The legacy of the Earth Rangers of the SASH Program continues to live on as we used Tree Nursery Pots they made from plastic bottles to commence the establishment of a 10,000 Trees capacity Nursery at Nsualam in Mankon Sub Division of Mezam Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.
UPB Tree Pots is the official name of the Tree nursery pots upcycled from plastic bottles by Earth Rangers during the Steemit Action Summer Holiday Program. We arrived at Ntsualam at 10:00AM with more than 500 Plastic Bottles that had been perforated by the Earth Rangers. The nursery site was already cleared, leveled and the soil to fill the UPB Tree Pots prepared by Palmsun, a volunteer of who is going to serve as the coordinator of the tree nursery.
There,
We then set straight for the mixing of the soil and filling of the UPB Tree Pots with the soil.
After filling, we then packed them in rows pending the sowing of seeds in them. For 2 hours, 3 of us filled all the UPB Pots and this to us is a great achievement.

Our goal now is to introduce UPB Tree Pots so that people can stop purchasing single-use plastic papers in their nurseries. UPB Tree Pots are the new nursery pots!
