Hello there lovely people! We hope you are enjoying your Sunday and that your weekend was marvelous. Today, we would like to help you understand everything there is about backer rewards and why are they so important. This text will be important and educational for you if you are a founder or a backer. You will benefit from it either way.
We are always happy to help you find your way around fundition.io and make your experience enjoyable. It does not matter if you are a founder of a project or a person who is backing it with your lovely donation, there are some things you should know about and backer rewards are one of those things.
Fundition is a crowdfunding platform. That means that the project receives funds from the crowd. Every person in that crowd who has made a donation to a project is called a Backer. They are people who make donations to a project in either cryptocurrency or fiat. There is a difference between a Supporter and a Backer. You can be a Supporter and not a Backer, a Backer but not a Supporter and you can also be both. Try to be both :)
Backer or Supporter?
Both a backer and a supporter are donators to a project but their ways of donating are different. Supporters are those who support a project by sending hearts (in other words, they upvote a project and donate in that way) while backers donate directly by cryptocurrency or fiat. When you are on a project page, look to the right sidebar, and you will be able to donate by entering an amount in the box next to the word Fund, with that donation you will become a Backer. If you scroll down a little you will see Free Support section and choose the percentage of your upvote (from 1-100) that you would like to use to send hearts to this project.
While donations and support could be given without expecting anything in return, we like to do things a little bit differently at Fundition. For each and every gift (no matter how small), Backers gain heart power rewards based on the amount they have given. Depending on the project, Founders also give additional Rewards based on the number of hearts given.
You should have some
backer rewards ready
Backer rewards are recognitions and they can be an informal or formal acknowledgment of a persons effort in supporting the project. Appreciation is a fundamental human need and by receiving a backer reward, people feel like their donation is recognized and valued by the founder. When people feel valued, their satisfaction rises and they are more motivated to donate again and even promote that project to others. It is just how our psychology works. People want to be respected and valued by others for their contribution. That recognition is the principle of social proof in action.
