Here's a few mangled pot stickers I made out of pear shaped puffball mushrooms for this #fungifriday by
These are the puffball mushrooms I harvested.
Here they are after cleaning and peeling off the outer skin.
I pan fried the mushrooms with some ground turkey, ginger, lemon grass, various spices and some chives.
Then I rolled out the dough and put a teaspoon of filling inside.
Then the filling gets folded into the dough and pinched into whatever shape you can manage. I tried to make the fancy patterns in them but i have sausage fingers and only ended up with mangled looking dough shapes.
Next I pan fried the outside in some oil.
Unfortunately i had the heat on too high and they got a little too toasted. Once toasting is done you pan fry them in some steam. Overall they tasted really good but the presentation was bad lol.
I also made some miso soup with baby bella mushrooms instead of using tofu.
Paul Stamets product catalog also came in the mail this week. I'll probably buy a few mushroom kits for growing in winter.
Here's a few wild mushrooms I found growing out of the fall leaves. I don't have an id yet but these have pretty unique features to them.
The thin black stem and wide spaced gills that don't attach to the stem should be good ways to get a positive id.
Happy #fungifriday
