Steemians and audiences, this story happened several years ago, not long ago when I graduated from undergraduate studies. At that time, Banda Aceh was just hit by bad weather. As a result, there is a power outage in some locations.
On that day I wanted to go to meet a friend in the cafeteria he manages. The cafeteria is adjacent to the campus.
Somehow, that day he could not be there on time. So to get rid of boredom, I walked to the mall next to the cafeteria.
As I remember, the first store I noticed was a boutique dressing gallery. The girl of the shopkeeper suddenly asked me, "Brother, are you know why the electricity is long gone (blackout)?"
I was a little surprised because I never knew the girl.
"Oh, yeah, I heard it because of bad weather," I suddenly remembered just that morning I read the local newspaper discussing it.
Saya beranjak ke toko di sebelahnya lagi. Sebuah toko jasa fotokopi.
I went to the store next to her again. A photocopy shop. When I was in college, I often photocopied lecture materials at the shop.
"Bang, sudah lama sekali pemadaman listrik ya. Kapan listriknya bisa hidup lagi?" tanya penjaga fotokopi.
"Brother, it's been a long time for a power outage, when will the power go on again?" the shopkeeper asked me.
Saya semakin merasa ketakutan dan bingung. Namun saya menjawab seperti jawaban sebelumnya.
I was increasingly frightened and confused. But I answered like the previous words.
Indeed, it has been two days of power outages and is not a natural thing. Despite the blackouts at that time quite often, but never had been that long.
Warga pun diminta bersabar selama masa perbaikan.
Reportedly there is an electric tower damaged by bad weather. The citizen was asked to be patient during the repair period.
Karena teman saya belum kunjung datang, maka saya memutuskan shalat sunat dhuha di masjid kampus. Masjid kampus letaknya berdekatan dengan kafetaria, jadi saya pikir tak akan butuh waktu lama.
Because my friend has not arrived yet, so I decided to pray dhuha circumcision in the campus mosque. The campus mosque is adjacent to the cafeteria, so I do not think it will take long.
Just a footstep into the campus fence, a group of students sitting in the garden looked at me. They asked me, "Brother, why is the power outage?"
Weleh-weleh, batin saya dalam hati. Benar-benar hari yang aneh.
What a day, I thought to myself. What a strange day.
And it's not my birthday either. So, what's wrong?
Dipenuhi rasa kebingungan, saya melanjutkan langkah menuju mushalla kampus.
Full of confusion, I continue the step towards the campus mushalla.
When I am going to pray, I realize the cause of the oddities throughout the day.
Hari itu saya mengenakan kaos berlogo PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).
That day I was wearing T-shirt with PT PLN (National Electricity Company) logo. PLN. The shirt was my brother's gift. He works at that company.
Usually I wear that shirt for sports or while relaxing. That day, because the plan of meeting with my friend in informal condition, I was wearing the shirt.
PLN. Rasanya tidak karuan saat itu.
Who would have thought, therefore I was mistaken as an employee of PT. PLN. It was not so good, awry, at the time.
Plus, that day I did not bring any more clothes.
"Hahaha, Bang.
"(Lol), Brother, luckily you do not get complaints or being blamed by them," my friend said when we met and I told the ridiculous moment.
