With the current competition in the hospitality market, companies are perhaps more conscious than ever about divulging company secrets for fear of showing competitors their cards. This is why the latest (deleted) controversial Reddit post is making waves through the crypto community. We’ve seen similar instances in the past where employees leak sensitive company information resulting in the sabotage of their employer's product.
For one hotel dynasty, this nightmare turned to reality. Earlier this month an alleged hotel employee got his paws on some sensitive information that could jeopardize a tender pending partnership. Negotiations seemed to be underway for the hotel chain to enter the crypto world, although that could all go south following this unexpected unveil. Leaks of this nature could potentially ruin a hotels reputation for partnership.
Unclear whether these were the actions of a disgruntled employee or someone who just got too excited to keep a secret, one thing is clear; they created quite the buzz. But was it worth losing a job? We hear as of right now the employee has been put on suspension, still speculation if they’ll be fired or not.
Though the employee didn’t reveal his identity, the community seems to have ousted him before he could delete the post. Some users even went as far as to joining the telegram group, and low and behold the rumors were true!
Following this public humiliation, it seems a coworker came across the post and drew the conclusion that a colleague in the companies marketing division is likely responsible for the post. Immediately reporting the findings to his superiors caused the turn of events which soon led to the suspension of the alleged employee.
Just remember you can’t believe everything you read on the internet. With that being said, the way this situation played out it seems to give validity to the anonymous post. I guess all we can do now is sit back and stay alert for any big names entering the crypto world.
