The dog of the block

On the way to school the children were accompanied by a stray dog who loved to bathe in the fountain of the square, every night he slept in the street and barked loudly if a stranger approached the block, never went hungry because everybody gave him something to eat and when it was Christmas it was for him a delight, because the neighbors used to give him pieces of roast meat, tamales and roast chicken, he looked very happy in those days.

One morning the kindergarten teacher was doing a dynamic with the children, it was about everyone hiding nearby and saying "run to your place" the children returned to the meeting point; suddenly one of the children points out of the fence and the teacher finds that the puppy was following the instructions to the letter.

Months later a person from a traveling circus tried to take the dog away, but the neighbors did not leave it, when the subject asked who it was, the mothers told him, "it's owned by the whole block."
