My fellow Steemians, this next emoji absolutely baffles me on how it could actually exist in the current day and age:
Try and guess which one I'm referring to...
In an era where teachers are discouraged from using red pens to correct the schoolwork of children, when scores are no longer kept during games because that might make the losing team feel badly about themselves, when Society seems to be living in fear of melting a snowflake.
How could this emoji POSSIBLY exist?!?
Please tell me this emoji outrages you as much as I!
Think of the children!
Forget about actually using this emoji (fyi there's a special place in hell for anyone who actually would)...
What if a Millenial ever learned that 3rd place is actually a real thing?
What about the Olympics, you might ask.
Oh, please. Everybody knows the Olympics are just a game of "Which country can hide banned substances in the bodies of their star athletes the best."
Or lie about the ages of their athletes (gymnastics).
THIS horrific example of an emoji that will surely spurn outrage and disgust in any sensible parent with a child under the age of 35 MUST be removed immediately!
While we're at it, let's start a campaign to remove the one above it too:
Try explaining to a young, impressionable child that there can be more than just one person who doesn't "win."
🤯
Who wants to clean up that mess?
I hope you are as recreationally outraged as I am that those 2nd and 3rd place emojis exist...
Whoever thought it was a good idea to make those clearly has no common sense, and probably lacks a soul.
The Winter Olympics begins in 2 days; my best wishes to the best athletes in the world for a safe and successful event this year.
May every athlete come home with a gold medal.
😉
