Re-introducing carbs back into my diet has been a slow and steady process. Many people have trouble with this process. They have trouble controlling their desire to eat the way that they used to eat before dieting.
This, in my opinion, is one of the hardest parts of dieting...
It's the part where you have to re-teach yourself how to be a human being who doesn't overeat. It's where you have to sit down with your favorite foods and have only a few bites rather than a massive plate.
It may be kind of hard to tell in this photo because there really isn't any context to how big the plate is, but this is a really small plate of food. It's about 1/4 the size of a plate that I would normally eat.
That's my main trick for this time period:
The trick is to swap out your big plates for tiny little plates and only eat what can fit on the little plate. That's how I control myself when I try to re-introduce normal foods into my diet.
