StarCitizen is a open world space game, with the main objective being collecting resources and upgrading your spaceships, by fighting with others, and completing missions.
In update 3.0, they have added in a lot of new things, such as ... Planetary Landings ( Seamlessly enter a planets atmosphere without a transition), Cargo( Trading/Selling ), New Types Of Planets ( Yela-Freezing wasteland, Cellin- Volcanic, etc.) They have made improvements in frame rates, the experience when driving in the cockpit of a space ship, and a lot of improvements to the gameplay ( character customization, Life on certain planets, civilizations, etc.)
At the moment we are still waiting for Alpha 3.0 to release but from the pictures/videos that they are releasing, its gaining a lot of hype among players. This alpha has been delayed a couple of times... first it was suppose to be july, and now its going to be the beginning of September.
StarCitizen has been delayed many times but in my opinion the more time they take, the better the game could turn out. I think that StarCitizen could be one of the best open world space games out there because of the content that they are creating, such as being able to fight with other players, and AI, and also being able to buy and upgrade different parts of your spaceship. This update has added a lot of new things, that would make players more exited to play the game, and at this rate i think that it could be an enjoyable open world game and can't wait till they release Alpha 3.0.
