A few years ago I started learning Spanish using an app called duolingo. I started learning it with English as the base language and later continued with German as base language. Sadly I am not fluent yet, but I started practicing it on a daily basis again because started learning Portuguese. It was a great opportunity to start again and we promised to practice every day!
When I looked through all the available languages the first thing I noticed was that Duolingo added a lot more languages! Going through the list I added Korean and Turkish. The second thing that really stood out was that High Valyrian is available as a language to learn with English as basis. This is not just some course made by fans of the Game of Thrones series. The course is made and constantly improved by the inventor of the language, David J. Peterson!
I just started learning High Valyrian and I am only at level one.
Here you can find the course and over Here you can listen to the pronunciation of the words in the course.
High Valyrian is only available through the website at the moment, the app version will come later. I use the app most of the time because it's more convenient and can't wait for High Valyrian to be available.
Is anyone else here learning languages through Duolingo?
