It really is a tedious task to go and find games if you have a lower specifications machine with you... but you still want some great and immersive gaming experience.
Well, you don't need to worry about that now, Here are the top games for you to play if you want to squeeze a little more from your PC. And before starting anything, first I'll tell you my laptop's specs for your reference:
CPU: AMD A4 5000 @ 1.5 Ghz (Ya, it's slower than that of today's mobile devices)
RAM: 4 Gigs Single Channel
GPU: AMD Mobile 8670M 1GB (Bottlenecked most of the time due to slower CPU)
So here's the list N.B. The listing is random.
1. Portal 2 (2011)
Most of you must have already played this but this is one worth mentioning game. This basically is a puzzle platformer with some shooter abilities. With intelligent story line and edgy humors the developers at Valve have really once again showcased their supremacy at the gaming industry.
To enjoy the game at full level, you must have played Portal 1 before so that you understand all of GLaDOS's cheeky references.
This game is very polished and can be run even if there's no dedicated graphics card on your system.
2. Grid 2 (2013)
This one is your to-go destination if you want a real-life gaming experience with butter smooth performance. Grid 2 like its predecessor focuses on pure racing and nothing else.
I have to turn down a few of the toggles for this to run fluently though.
Or, if this one turns out to be too much for you, check other racing series from Codemasters including DiRT series.
3. Tomb Raider (2013)
This one is an awesome example of how a character driven story should be told in a game. Truly a masterpiece and a deserving reboot to the action packed series this is.
Well, turned off the dynamic hair rendering in the game options and the game was pretty playable on my machine.
4. SUPER HOT (2016)
So, You like The Matrix? Of course you do. What if I told you there's a game where you can do some time defying action sequences just like Neo did in the original movie series.
This indie game has one simple logic: Time moves only when you do. And they took this literally !! A must check.
You'll probably play this one without ever worrying about the graphics performance as this one isn't too heavy.
5. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (2010)
DICE's Battlefield series has unarguably given us great gaming experiences with almost all of its games, and one of the plus points of it is its beautiful graphics. Bad Company 2, though launched in 2010, still looks awesome and has some beautiful experiences to leave you in awe.
I played this one on medium settings in my computer which ran without any troubles; didn't checked its performance after maxing things out.
So, this was my list of a few of the games to keep you engaged in weekends with a lower end computer. Hope you guys liked it.
Please comment if you have more such games in your mind (hidden gems are welcome).
