I stayed up far too late last night playing through this odd graphic adventure game, and while it isn't my usual fare, I recommend it highly. I played it via GOG, but if you prefer Steam or console gaming, those are options, too.
The writing is excellent, the voice acting is good, and the natural flow of dialogue without cutscenes is immersive. You have to be quick to click sometimes, though. The art for each area is gorgeous. There are also lots of secrets to uncover, some of which require a second playthrough...
I don't want to spoil the plot, but the story begins with a group of teens preparing to hold a beach party on an abandoned island. Spooky supernatural things occur, and then the plot gets strange. You use your radio to unlock electromagnetic anomalies, uncover an old conspiracy, and depending on your choices, you may alter the very fabric of reality.
If you are interested in a spooky, atmospheric game with a strong protagonist and an immersive story, give this a shot. It only takes a few hours to play through the core story. As horror goes, it's mostly in the unsettling, mysterious cosmic horror vein as opposed to jump scares, noise, and gore, but there are some startling moments.
Any complaints I have are too minor to mention. 5 out of 5 Hives.
