I don't like horror games usually, but I liked this a lot

Plot
A well known writer takes a vacation to a sleepy town in Maine (I think?) to get over his writers block. The town gets taken over as the events of his drafts start becoming reality. It is actually really good despite my bad write-up of it. I played it years ago.
Music
Creepy AF, perfect fit for the game.
Art
Even when the town hasn't been overrun by evil shadow things, everything is slightly off-putting and makes the player uncomfortable in a good way. When basically everything becomes night and shadows do their thing, they blend in super well and you will find yourself jumping at nothing. It really amps the game up.
Mechanics
The combat can be difficult because you need to shine your flashlight in the faces of the shadows for some time before they can take damage. This effect can also be completed with flares and the like. You can shine your light on high beam for a shorter duration, but that drains batteries so be careful you do not run out! Light in any form is your friend and under light you are safe. Also the shadows are mega creepy. The camera can get a little goofy at times though.
Review: 9/10
Story never fully answers the questions it presents, and the camera isn't perfect, but the rest of the game is absolutely fantastic!
