Clearing The Backlog
I have more games than I can finish. So I'm playing a game every once in a while to see if I like it enough to finish it. This along with my First Impression posts will help me clear my backlog faster!
Finding Teddy
This game is a simple 2D adventure game about a girl that lost her teddy bear and went to a magical world through her closet to find it. The game is controlled solely via mouse in a point-and-click gameplay.
Finding Teddy is a puzzle game. which you have to figure out how to proceed using the items you have. For example, early in the game there's a monster blocking the way and will kill you if you get close. (The poor young girl.) To get past him you have to give him an apple. Another puzzle that comes to mind is the Singing Frogs puzzle which I enjoyed figuring it out.
The pixel art scenery while being low in resolution is very captivating. The art style is has distinct 'squarey' feel, and characters/monsters met in the game are full of personality. Despite the game not having any dialogue.
There are only two goals in the game, fiding the teddy bear and for achievement hunters, collecting all the 15 Fire-flies (Orbs.) The latter is found via pixel-hunting the screens in which there is a ring sound when you click. The closer you are to an Orb the louder the sound will be.
I played the game for about 1 hour but I got stuck in a puzzle that requires finding "musical notes" for the crying robot. I couldn't do this and even with a guide I still didn't figure it out. After a while I stopped trying.
So while I enjoyed the game for the hour I played, I have other games to play so I'm #clearingthebacklog out of this game. I'd probably recommend the game if I didn't stuck in it.

Uninstalling!
Maybe the next time.
