Ahoy! In my previous blog post about the Power Plant event I mentioned that I didn't have Lucky Electrode yet, because I had already transffered the Lucky Voltorb I got sometime. A quite long time ago I had gotten a 100% IV Voltorb from a Field Research Encounter, which is probably why upon seeing the Lucky Voltorb's stats I immediately transffered it.
Now we couldn't trade for a day or a day and half because there was a bug. From what I read about it some people with Lucky Friends status did their Lucky Trade, but the status didn't disappear (either displayed or just in the back-end or something). As they continued doing some trades all their Pokémon kept becoming Lucky. For their full 99 trades after the initial Lucky Friends Trade. The post I read about it showed how they posted the results from all their trades on Reddit.
This has been fixed now and to make up for it, until the 24th you can make 150 trades per day. I'm not going to make use of that because I rarely even reach the normal cap of 100. Others can enjoy the additional 50 per day though!
I did do some trades with a friend. Since both Voltorb and Electrode are spawning in the wild with the Power Plant event, we first decided to trade some Electrode. One of the final ones we had before we'd have to switch to Voltorb turned out to be Lucky! I'll still have to trade for Helioptile too.
Here are the stats for the Lucky Electrode I received. Now I have it in my Pokédex.
During these past days I've tried a bit of PvP in GO Battle League. I mostly tried playing in the Sinnoh Cup that's still going on. In Rank 1, when you get your first encounter from win rewards, it is guaranteed to be Pyroar during this season. I didn't have Pyroar in my Pokédex yet, so that encounter from getting at least 3 wins in a set of 5 was a new Pokédex registry for me. Here you can see my encounter with it, then the Pyroar's Pokédex registry and its stats.
Community Day Classic: Back to Bulbasaur
With Season of Heritage going on, we're going back to the roots of Community Day. With a special Community Day Classic that brings back Bulbasaur. When Community Days first started, Bulbasaur wasn't the first one to be featured, it was Pikachu. Though the return of Bulbasaur is more interesting.
This will take place on this Saturday, January 22 from 2 pm through 5 pm local time. So make sure to remember that because it's a Classic Community Day it will only be for 3 hours and starting at 2 pm local time. So it's not like the 6 hour ones we have nowadays.
Any Ivysaur evolved into Venusaur during or up to two hours after the event will learn the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.
Just like with any other Community Day, any Incense and Lures activated during the event will last for three hours. The additional bonus, according to Niantic's post, will be 3x Catch XP just like we had last weekend with the Spheal Community Day.
I have Venusaur with Frenzy Plant already, but might evolve another during or after the event. It's also going to be a great opportunity to collect some Bulbasaur XL Candy in case I'd wanna level one to 50 sometime.
