This weekend Professor Willow will have his last stop for his Global Challenges this summer. It will be held during the Yokosuka Safari Zone event that's taking place in Japan this weekend, September 1 & 2. So we should gear up and work together with other Trainers to unlock bonuses for everyone around the world! Wingfull should spawn more often worldwide and we should be able to encounter its Shiny form.
People attending the Pokémon GO Safari Zone in Japan will have to complete 100,000 Research Tasks to unlock a worldwide 3x Catch Stardust bonus. Trainers in Europe, Middle East and Africa have to complete 5,000,000 Research tasks to unlock a worldwide 1-hour duration for Star Pieces. When Trainers in America complete 5,000,000 Research Tasks they unlock a worldwide bonus of 2x Stardust on hatching eggs. If the Trainers in the Asia-Pacific Region complete 5,000,000 Research Tasks we'll get a worldwide bonus of guaranteed 3,000 Stardust per Raid.
These bonuses will last from September 3 through September 10
If this Global Challenge is completed then we will unlock Moltres Day on the 8th of September!
Moltres Day on the 8th of September, if unlocked, will be in the same 3-hour window as the monthly Community Day is held. All Trainers worldwide can receive up to 5 free Raid Passes from spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms. Only 1 Raid Pass per spin and none if you still have one in your inventory. So I advise to spin the Gym's Photo Disc after every Moltres Raid you do and before as well to make sure you claim your Raid Pass. All Moltres caught from these raids will know the Flying-type move Sky Attack. Just like Articuno and Zapdos, Moltres can now be encountered in its Shiny form.
At the start of the Pokémon GO Summer Tour 2018 it was announced that an Ultra Bonus would be unlocked if all Global Challenges are completed. For the first two stops we already unlocked all of them, so we'll surely unlock them this time too. When we do, the Ultra Bonus unlock will be announced on September 10.
I personally think it might have something to do with a gen 4 release. Perhaps first featuring the Pokémon that evolve from gen 1, 2 and 3 Pokémon. As many of those Pokémon that get an evolution in gen 4 have been available as spawns from certain Research Tasks.
What do you think the Ultra Bonus might be?
