Ahoy! This week the Welcome to Alola event in Pokémon GO has ended. Of course the Pokémon featured during the event are still spawning in the wild regularly as it is the Season of Alola. They're just appearing less frequent than during the event.
My previous blog post was about completing the Collection Challenge and I had a Lucky Yungoos that I evolved to finish it. I didn't add any of the Pokédex Registries for the new Pokémon from the Alola region yet in that one or the introduction about the event. So here are the Pokédex Registries for Pikipek, Litten, Popplio, Yungoos, Tapu Koko and Rowlet. This is the order in which I've caught them when the event started.
I don't have Rockruff yet, haven't found one from a 10 km Egg yet and I didn't do any Raids for it. Most of the time I focus my 2 daily free Raid Passes for the level 5 Raids if I can find some. I did do Alolan Raichu too if I wouldn't have much time to look for two level 5 Raids. I haven't hatched or found a wild Jangmo-o yet either. I did see wild Jangmo-o on the nearby radar but couldn't get there in time or another time it was too far away when I was on the way home.
I've had Lucky Yungoos already so I could finish the Collection Challenge by evolving the Lucky Yungoos to Gumshoos mentioned in my previous blog post. I had already traded some Pikipek, but didn't get it Lucky yet. Since then I've been able to trade some more Pikipek and finally got a Lucky one. So I evolved that one to get Trumbeak and Toucannon registered in the Pokédex and have the evolution lines Lucky.
I haven't gotten any of the starters Lucky yet. During the event I haven't really been able to do any Lucky Trades with Lucky Friends, so some days I traded a Tapu Koko randomly, but so far it didn't turn out Lucky yet. So right now I only have Yungoos and Pikipek Lucky evolution lines as you can see.
During the event I managed to catch a 100% IV Litten 🤩 My favourite of the Alolan starters so that was great! It was either a wild spawn or an Incense spawn. With Incense lasting 90 minutes during this season instead of 60, I have been using a few more of the ones I still have in my inventory while I was walking around. I usually check at the end of the day with 4* to see if I caught one.
So that was definitely a great catch!
Unfortunately I didn't catch a Shiny Yungoos during the event. But I did get a Shiny Exeggcute during the Exeggcute Spotlight Hour on the Tuesday this week!
To finish off the blog post, here is the AR photos I took for the thumbnail together. I took one with Toucannon and one with Pikipek and put those together. Then I added Trumbeak with an ingame image of it. I took them at one of the local parks.
How did the event go for you?
