Earlier this week on Tuesday I was walking around a bit in Ljubljana, Slovenia, again while on my short trip there. I saw a level 5 Raid was going to hatch nearby in a short while. As I was kinda thirsty and wanted something other than the water I had with me, I went into the store to buy a drink there and then go to that Gym. Where I fought against the Gym prior to the start of the Raid to place one of my Metagross in there. This Gym has great memories for me. As I once took it over and placed my Metagross in there, then I asked one of my friends what the building was. Because the Gym name's in Slovenian. Then she told me "it means black widow, you can see that cause of the spider there", while pointing at my Metagross cause of its 4 legs. So I had to laugh, and told her that's my Pokémon I placed in there xD That was quite the coincidence I placed a Pokémon looking a bit like a spider in that Gym called "black widow" xD
Once the Raid egg hatched and the Armoured Mewtwo showed up I kept looking around to see if anyone approaching seemed to be playing Pokémon GO. Only one person seemed like they were, but also not really. After I waited about 5-10 minutes I suddenly noticed a Blissey pop up on my nearby radar. I've seen Blissey nearby in my city in Belgium, but I was not able to get there before it despawned.
So I decided to leave from this Mewtwo Raid and just walk towards the Pokéstop where this Blissey spawned. It took me a little time to walk there, I could luckily walk quite straight towards it without having to go around anywhere much. As I started to get closer and saw the dark green ground, which often means a park area, I thought to myself whether or not that could be Tivoli Park. Since I knew it was in that direction, but I kinda thought it was much further away from where I was. Which is why I didn't go there before. I clicked on the Pokéstops I could see and when I saw Tivoli in the name I had my confirmation that I was indeed heading to Tivoli Park.
Once I crossed the street when it hit the green light I had to walk a little bit further before I could cross eyes with this Blissey! Then I entered the catch screen and saw that it was a really low level one with just 104 CP.
I then proceeded to try and catch it with a Silver Pinap Berry to get an increase change of catching and get some extra candy. Catching it was quite easy to do and so I was finally able to register Blissey into my Pokédex! I did have to laugh quite hard after that because of the Blissey just having 104 CP for my first wild encounter with one xD Its IV is unfortunately not good at all, with only 5 in Defense and nothing else. I'm definitely gonna keep this one as its my first wild Blissey and caught abroad. Although if I can trade it for another Blissey from Slovenia I might consider it for the stat reroll.
As this journey let me to Tivoli Park, and I now realised it wasn't actually that far away, I decided to go for a slow stroll through the park. So I could spin many of the Pokéstops and Gyms, try to do some quests as well, and of course do some sightseeing throughout the park as well.
At one point a Level 3 Raid there hatched into an Alolan Raichu. I decide to do that one when I'd cross that Gym on my walk throughout the park. It went well like usual to take it down, IV wise its not amongst the best Alolan Raichu I've encountered so far, but this one is from abroad so I would still consider to keep it!
After that Raid I saw a lady try to let her cat walk up the stairs that were almost next to that Gym. The cat didn't feel like that it seems, so after a while she picked him up again and walked up the stairs and placed him on the ground again. Immediately after that he walked up to me and circled around my legs, so I petted him for a little bit. Then I talked to the lady to see if he had just started teaching her cat to walk and she said it was the first time he was on a leash. Once they continued their journey walking over the grass the cat was really happy again and walking around. So it seems like he just really minds going up stairs with the leash on the harness, but other than that he does seem to enjoy going on a walk like that :D
I continued my walk throughout the park then. Once I had been almost everywhere and seen everything I left the park again through a different entrance. Once I left it there, I realised I arrived at a place I had actually walked past already during the Mudkip Community Day. So it seems like Tivoli Park was really a lot closer to me than I thought at first! xD
The area I left Tivoli Park was supposed to be really close to a bubble tea shop recommended to me by a friend. It's called Tloft. So I decided to look up which way I had to go to get there and then I got myself a bubble iced tea from there. Which was quite delicious and refreshing!
