This weeks update brings about the release of farmhands and other QOL improvements for the player owned farms. Head to the Ardougne loadstone to talk to Granny Potterington to get started!
There are three types of farmhands that you can permanently unlock from the farmers' market:
- Babysitter - prevents animals from aging past adolescent
- Collector - converts and hold excess animals from breeding pens into the corresponding unchecked version
- Trapper - goes out into the world and brings back a random unchecked animal, the rare the animals the less likely the trapper is to bring it back
After much feedback from the player base about how much the PoF has been crowding out players banks, today also brings about the storm barn. This barn is actually a basement that can be constructed on the side of the farmhouse to hold 15 animals (upgradable to 30) to help reduce the strain on your much needed bank space.
Tired of having to wait to sell off your excess animals after meeting your buyers daily allotment? Worry no longer as Baby Shakes will always purchase your animals regardless of quotas paying a generous 10% of the adolescent price for them. This NPC can be found on the porch of the farmhouse, and like all trolls, it will be named after what ever you feed it!
You can also unlock animal indicators which will show large symbols over your animals heads that indicate their immediate conditions, sick, ready to harvest, etc.
This will be a good week for anyone who has been enjoying the player owned farms!
