For a very long time the number seven has been one of my favorite numbers (along the number thirteen), not because of numerology or superstition, I simply like this number. One of the main influence that makes me like this number is the video game Halo.
My Halo History
I started playing Halo about 15 years ago. I remember that I didn't played seriously the first Halo (that was launched on 2001) until I met a group of friends on my high school. Weekends and vacations where destined to play matches on interconnection. We made small LAN Parties connecting from two to four TVs with two or three persons per console (Xbox). Yes.. we were the nerds at school, we preferred to spend our time like this, than go to parties or clubs.
Bungie Day
Well and why am I writing about Halo and the number seven. I was watching the amount of Steem Power that I have available on my wallet and it is exactly 117. This number is special because it is the number of the Master Chief. John Spartan 117, the semi-god that has fought against the Covenant, the bruts the floods and many other menaces. He is one of the most bad ass fictional characters that I know and without a doubt I spent a lot of time helping him save the Earth. Besides this, today we are at July 7th, Bungie Day. The 7th of the 7th is a special day the company that was in charge of developing the Halo games until 2010 (and a little more). Bungie finished its participation on this saga with Halo: Reach, one of the best Halo games in my opinion.
Extra Curiosities
I've mentioned that Bungie likes the number 7 a lot, as a matter of fact there is a character on the Halo Universe called 343 Guilty Spark, he is also known as the Oracle for the Covenant. If you like math you will notice that 343 is equal to 7 times 7 times 7 or 7 to the third. Coincidence? I don't think so. The company that was left in charge of the Halo franchise (and that has continued along Microsoft) is called 343 Industries.
What happened to Bungie?
Bungie continued its path on video game development with a "new" franchise called Destiny. The first Destiny was launched on 2014 and it was not only for Microsoft systems, it was also launched for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Destiny 2 has a few months on the market and as something new it was also launched for PC through the Blizzard Launcher with the support from Activision.
