This will be the first of my Forge of Empires Weekly Roundups. It has been productive week. I’ve acquired a new province that was in the mountains. I avoided battle as much as possible as I usually do when it comes to building the empire. I like being able to negotiate since I have the means to produce goods and trade for the ones I need so no need to risk loss in battle.
By this time next week I should be in the High Middle Ages. I’m lacking various goods needed to research the technology which is the last tier of the Early Middle Ages but like I mentioned earlier I’m producing other goods that I use to trade. I go into the market at least once an hour to see if any other players are offering good deals. There are times when I currently do need that good but I can always make use of it. Nothing is wasted.
I’ve been attacked by other players in the past and was rightly trounced. At the time I didn’t know how to add my military units to my city defense. This week I finally forced the invaders to retreat. I try to have a lot of archers and ballistas on defense because even if I lose it will cost them. On that note I’ve also added the building to train heavy cavalry. They’ve been coming in handy with the Guild Expedition. Someone my Guild is in the lead. There is some time left so that could change. Even if I don’t come out on top Meat and Mead is making some headway.
