The first month of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 gaming is coming to an end and it has been an interesting experience. I believe that it truly is the best Call of Duty we have had since Black Ops 2 however I find myself still preferring to play Destiny 2 than Call of Duty. This has caused some issues with my online friends but we are slowing adjusting for some balance as the content from Destiny also has started to demand less time which is really the reason I am playing more Destiny than Call of Duty (I still have not reached max power either).
However, when I do sit and play with my friends I am enjoying the latest installment of Call of Duty because I feel that its gameplay is smooth and logical in the most part. I find that there have been no big adjustments in the mechanics of the game since the beta which is good because it was already pretty good and fun to play. Some of the playlists in the multiplayer menu take some time to get used to but offer good alternatives based on who is playing with you. I personally only enjoy playing multiplayer when most of my friends are on as we communicate pretty well and are successful in playing well and winning. I find it frustrating when playing alone and losing because of not knowing what is going on around the map.
This is when I decide to switch to the Battle Royale mode, Blackout. I have been so surprised on how well the gameplay and mechanics come together in this game mode. I did not think I would enjoy it very much but the map and the way we can interact with the elements around it make it very strategic and fun to play. I personally think this is the best Battle Royale game out there right now! I have even enjoyed watching streamers play as it feels like a Call of Duty which I have always enjoyed watching.
Now, I have to admit that my impressions on the game are not yet complete as I have not tried the Specialist training sessions. I did see the opening cinematic and thought it was very inpressive and actually made me wish for a short time that there was a campaign. I will ultimately try it out as I het more time. In addition, I have not tried the Zombies mode! I was disappointed on the prior modes from the previous games so I have been looking forward from Zombies from the original developer Treyarch. A couple of friends have already told me that it is fun so I am sure that that will be done soon as well.
So while I do not have a complete experience yet, I have enjoyed it so far. I am also looking forward to watching the pros play especially with the changes being made to the Pro scene. I think the competition will be more intense this year as team are expanded. I will be back to discuss the rest of the game shortly!
Thanks!
