Trying to take a break from playing so much Destiny 2 and get some sun, I am back to playing some Pokemon Go. The weekend of September 1st and 2nd is the last Pokemon Go event of the summer in Japan. As with prior events, if trainers around the world can complete enough research tasks, Niantic will release some special bonuses. The bonuses this time around are pretty great as they are related to getting extra Stardust which is the main ingredient for powering up Pokemons and trading them among friends. Another bonus will be the launch of a Moltres Raid Day for September 8thwhich will feature the Legendary Fire-type bird from Generation 1 that will know Sky Attack as a move and could also be encountered in its shiny form.
I have not been lucky to get a Shiny Legendary bird yet so I am hoping I can get one this time although I may not be able to do three hours of raids given commitments I have and due to the fact that Destiny 2 is occupying so much of my time right now. The last bonus Niantic has for the summer Pokemon Events has not been announced but will be on September 10th so it will be interesting what it is as it should be the best one of the Summer. The challenge was met by the trainers around the world so it is best to start planning your Pokemon Go schedule in the coming days!
Niantic has really performed well this Summer considering the high expectations they set when announcing these events months ago. I think that they have delivered on providing engaging content throughout the Summer; maybe too much. I have to admit that I have been fatigued on the game lately so a breather would be good. However, I am sure that Niantic would want to use the momentum of the Summer events to deploy more engaging content.
Thanks!
