Short introduction:
What's up guys I'm ggteixeira, a season 6 platinum League of Legends who loves playing League, reading blogs on Steem then occasionally making his own, mainly on League!
Now without anymore time to waste, let's get straight into it;
a list containing my top three and favorite League of Legends mid-lane champions, followed by a quick description of their general role in a team, a very short description of their lore, and finally why they made the top three! Now before I continue, I always like to leave a disclaimer stating that these champions are by no means the best mid laners or most viable in the current patch, but instead are my personal favorite champions to play whenever I get placed mid. Normally most people would catch me going top lane, but as of recent I've switched it up to ADC and now as of two days ago, switched it up to mid. Two days wouldn't really be enough to experiment enough and truly decide which mid lane champions are for me, but lucky before I cranked out top, I was an absolute legendary Ekko mid, leading us to the first champion!

Ekko, the boy who shattered time, and the meta. . . And the competitive scene until Riot could finally cage this monster and get him under control. Before Ekko became the strong assassin that he is today and was always intended to be, this guy was some stupid hard to kill tank top lane that would crush any opposition that was thrown his way. Then, they fixed him and he was bad for a bit. Then they fixed him again and now, he's a sick choice whenever you want to go an AP assassin mid. Keep in mind three out of four of Ekko's abilities are skill-shots and his ultimate, which lets him rewind 4 seconds back in time and do damage in a set area, is very hard to land, but after you get the hang of Ekko, master his abilities, and learn all his tricks and combinations, you'll absolutely dominate your lane, then the game, and as intended be the bane of all things backlines.
Ekko's lore though is actually compared to some other champions crazy-long. He even has a comic, which is a real good read. I'm not going into great detail because trust me, it's very, very long but the basis of it is simple. Ekko was always a smart kid, Ekko didn't want to get involved with his cities' corrupt gang life-style, Ekko built a time machine to try and fix stuff, didn't work out too well.
The reason Ekko made the list is because of him being one of the first champions I really picked up, sat down, and spent the time to learn. He's also really fun when you get the hold of him, so I strongly suggest anyone looking for a new mid laner to pick him up.

Urgot, the Noxian sniper with a crazy long-range harass and powerful armor penetration. Urgot is under-estimated overall, but if played correctly can easily snowball ahead with his superior harass early game, survivability late game, and a constant source of damage. His E and Q combination allow him to one, reduce armor, two, long-range consistent damage and three, apply a slowness when used with his W shield active. Then his ultimate is great for locking down and disabling enemy carries in a fight while also increasing Urgot's survivability greatly. Urgot might be estimated by many but remember, the first mistake in a fight is to under-estimate your opponent, and a well-trained Urgot can truly be an opponent to reckon with.
Urgot's backstory is one with no happy ending. He was a great warrior, died in battle, thought he would rest in peace, then was gruesomely brought back to life as a horrific monster to continue fighting Noxian wars. He is in forever pain and misery, and wants to inflict onto others what was forced on him.
Reason Urgot made the list because of him being my favorite under-dog champion. He isn't really seen as a threat and more of a joke, so victory with him is honestly so much sweeter and leaves a greater sting in the hearts of your enemies >:^ )

Veigar, Runeterra's greatest evil, and possibly the heaviest magic hitter in the game. Veigar is very easy to kill, surprisingly hard to snowball, and pretty hard to master, but once a grip is gathered on him, his magic power is near unrivaled and his ability to literally wipe a champion clean off the map terrifying. I've seen Veigars demolish champions in single abilities and I myself when playing Veigar have wiped people clean off the map with only two abilities. Put together with the fact that he can infinitely scale his ability power and has a massive AoE stun and you have the greatest evil to ever enter the rift.
Veigar's lore is the standard cliché villain. He was a good guy with a curious mind, accidentally got into some trouble, got isolated, driven mad, then turned to the dark side to help cope with himself. And a powerful coping mechanism it was, as Veigar now became Runeterra's worst evil and possibly most powerful dark magician, despite his size.
Reason Veigar made this list is because of his stupid damage and funny quotes. No really, play him and just listen to the stuff he says. I guarantee you'll get a good laugh or two!
