You know, I've been focused on other things in the last few weeks but I had in mind to participate in this eventually. I just had a look at the template and the characters submissions but found that there are only descriptions. Could it be that the lack of attractive images in the posts and the fact that the participants are limited to only delivering descriptions of the characters and not designs of what they would look like is detracting some fun from the process? Every day I see interesting contests in steemit where many artists share their versions of the theme of the contest and in general there is a lot of participation in those publications. Personally, as someone interested in superheroes and with a passion for drawing, I was hoping to sit down and draw some cool characters as well as write their profiles. Of course, you would reinterpret the designs to fit into the drawing style you will use and make some changes to the look if necessary. That's something I did with my little cousin, he drew characters (practically doodles) and I reinterpreted them with my drawing style. But it's just an opinion. I would love to see this initiative succeed. At the beginning the name steemheroes reminded me of the phenomenon of steemmonsters (which I'm not interested on) and I thought that this could be an alternative for me, but unfortunately I think it has not yet taken off as we would like.
