Applying a meditation technique in my writing process...
...not exactly.
I've been away from blogging, but not out of the blockchain. Been wanting to write something and always get distracted by #life. My resolve is just to write to get the cobwebs out of my writing mindset and get to "writing mode", even if for just trivial thoughts and personal reflections. That's how I started blogging way back, and that's how I always find my way back to the written word - and to borrow a shoe company's tagline - to JUST DO IT!.
I've rediscovered a newfound love for playing online games. It refreshes the soul and these days can be a good way to earn a few bucks playing. I play #splinterlands, #dcity, and #crops on most days and are arguably among the best blockchain games out there.
I recommend it to family and friends, heck, anyone who is even remotely interested; trying to explain away what HIVE is and the nuances of the ecosystem, blogging, vlogging, games, cryptocurrency, defi, etcetera, etcetera. And, send spam links in the hopes that they will read the explanations. Quite a challenge, but worth the try. I've had small success and have managed to onboard a few loyal friends who are still trying to work the blogging side of the HIVE into their lives. I tried onboarding gamers and have managed to get 1 solid recruit who is into Splinterlands. This might be my strategy moving forward to onboard users - the gaming route. Wish me luck!
#shitposting on my blog; who cares?
I'm posting this on my blog and not any community 'coz I think this is just some shitpost not worth community attention. Maybe people following me will understand, comment, and even upvote this post. Maybe not. We will see at the end of seven days if it gets more than the usual suspects who give me upvotes; friends and family, and comrades in the communities who care about camaraderie and will upvote anything I post as long as it is original content, not plagiarized, nor copied from other blogs that I do write on.
The road back to blogging is a process and I don't have big expectations at the start. Similar to a new meditation session, my approach to this is just to go with the flow, when the ripples of thoughts of a monkey mind slowly begin to calm down until it reaches a serene and peaceful place, both above and below the surface of a pond. To be mindful in the midst of a chaotic world. To hold on to the values and principles of life. To share and generate hope and love. And to radiate this energy to the world outside, and in. As life is a cycle of blessings and gratitude, so do content creators/influencers and the audience. This is life. Yin and Yang. Good and Bad. Life and Death.
Suffering is good for the soul
The COVID-19 pandemic is an extremely difficult and challenging situation for many of us. For some, it is extremely dangerous (*Shoutout to all frontline workers and medical professionals out there doing their work.)
While many of us have the luxury of hiding out in our abode for work-from-home arrangements, their work involves risking their lives for others. This is something that I admire considerably so kudos to all #frontliners.
LASTLY
I'm planning on creating another account for gaming. I think it wise to separate the content creating to the gaming to give me some structure and to give my audience clarity on what I do write about because not everyone is interested in meditation, vegan food, finance, mobile photography, and my personal experiences all at the same time. Hopefully, it will give me the motivation to consistently write and create and share with the HIVE world more.
If you made it up to here. Thanks a bunch. I do appreciate the read. Have a wonderful day! Keep safe and healthy everyone.
Mabuhay!
*as usual, Canva is a great tool to create images for blogs and whatnots. I highly recommend it.
