Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming in Feb 2018 but is it coming to the Nintendo Switch? I think it definitely is, find out why
If you didn't already know Dragon Ball FighterZ producer Tomoko Hiroki stated already that bringing the 2.5D fighter to the switch won't be an issue with performance but has not really spoken about the switch version as they wanted to see how DragonBall Xenoverse 2 went on the switch before discussing Dragon Ball FighterZ which i can confirm seems to be selling quite decently, It is the 7th top seller in America and 11th in Australia on the Nintendo E-shop those sales numbers also don't show everyone that bought the game under a Japanese account on the Switch to get it earlier this month rather than the 22nd of Sep like me, the fact physical copies of the game were selling out in Japan shows that Xenoverse 2 still seems to be a success on the Switch despite coming out just under a year ago now.
With the Nintendo Switch selling how it is at the moment and with Christmas season just around the corner, Switch sales should be up even more then they have been assuming Nintendo will be supplying more consoles during this time, it would be an easy choice to port the game over but i doubt it would release coincide the other titles, this was confirmed by the producer too. I would be expecting a 2-3 month or maybe more delay before a port to the switch coming.
In reality Arc System Works have already stated the fact they are thinking of a port to the switch if there is a big enough demand. sales numbers of the Xenoverse 2 port seem to be good which would also make Arc System Works more likely to bring the port over. Although i cannot see any hard numbers on what's sold and the fact it is just under a year old and still selling on the switch shows people are wanting their games on this console due to its portability.
