Please find Episode One and my Introduction behind these blue words.
Hullo, hullo, and welcome to Episode Two of my Sims 4 Legacy Challenge! Apparently my comedic pessimism in Episode One was uncalled for because it got visited by both the wonderful and the illustrious
. Thank you, thank you!
In Episode One, much of my written content was made up of me babbling in the introduction. I have nothing to babble about today, so, onward!
After deciding that getting drunk, getting naked, and parading around in front of lecherous bartenders was a great start to their engagement, our lovely pair, Trinity and Paolo, head off to the Romance Festival and drink some suspicious pink liquid from a fountain!
Unfortunately, instead of revelling in love and wonder and flirtatious flings, Trinity discovered the abundance of flowers in the area! "What a perfect addition to my gardens," she thought to herself as she descended upon each plant with a pair of shears she keeps in her bra for just this type of occasion.
The last time I played the Sims 4 was several years ago, back when Sims were flirty cheaters no matter what. You can see him in the background as Trinity is picking flowers. Chatting to people. Ugh. People. So, paranoid that Paolo would suddenly break my lady's heart, I made them leave the festival before the pheromones could get to him. It took so long to find a single sim! You ain't goin' nowhere, buddy.
It was worth it though! Look at all of her new plants she is planting.
Incidentally, I have since discovered that it is SO EASY to make money in the Sims 4. These flowers are netting her about 12,000 a day at only "nice" quality. Future generations may not have to work at all! Well, except to unlock career-specific decor.
Well, this was unexpected! Trinity simply tried to "plan wedding" with her dear Paolo, and next thing she knew, she was whisked away to the park to actually "have wedding." The Plumbob Gods have a strange sense of humour, apparently.
Taking it in her stride, she and Paolo embark upon their marriage ceremony in happiness and love and promise to cherish each other forever more.
They also only got a silver medal because I had no idea I was supposed to bake a wedding cake beforehand. Well, to be fair, I wasn't expecting them to get married yet either! Stupid wording system. Plan Wedding =/= Have Wedding!
So psyched by his nuptials, Paolo thinks it's a fantastic idea to drop down and give one hundred! Looks like Trinity has married an Actifitter. ;) Must be part of the #seven77. "Look at me," he grunts. "I'm doing 7 sets of 77 creative pushups at MY WEDDING!!"
Trinity thought she had seen the last of Purple-Underpants-Stalker-Man from Episode One... she was wrong! He showed up to her wedding, disguised as a stereotypical homeless man! Maybe we will find out one day that this strange stalker is actually her long lost uncle or something and that's why he's always there.
Freshly created Sims don't seem to have a family. Maybe they're all orphans... And this man is actually her father!
Soon after Trinity and Paolo's marriage, they had... "the talk."
"Dearest Paolo," she nibbles her lip and twirls a hair around her finger. "Please, do something about your hair and your clothes! For me, sweetie."
"Okay, dear," he sighs and heads for the bathroom, only to discover that with a new do and duds he looks like a modern day Jesus. "Maybe taking out my little hipster 'man-do' was truly the best thing after all," he winks at his reflection as he leaves the bathroom.
Now that the couple are happily married, and it truly looks like a Happily Ever After fairy-tale despite their very quick, reminiscent of overzealous celebrities, whirlwind courtship, it's time for some renovations. Mr Kael gets himself a teeny tiny gym where he can be a Bro, and Mrs Kael gets herself a fancy fenced-in garden. Just what she's always wanted! Oh, and what's this? Another little room just the right size for a child? OoooOooooOooh!
Would like to take this moment to state loudly and publicly that the fence system in the Sims 4 is balls. I need to put bushes on each corner because if I join the dang thing up like a proper fence, it thinks it's an actual room that needs a floor and everything! Eurgh.
Paolo is Athletics incarnate and wants to be a body-builder. So we spend many, many days at the gym! So many days that I didn't bother really paying that much attention to them. Trinity wanted to get into shape too so they both spent an entire WEEK of their "young adult" years getting fitter and fitter.
A nice way to pass the time waiting for an appropriate time to progenate.
Speaking of progenating...
"Hey, honey! Behind these perfectly toned abs lies a growing child!"
"Look at it! Look at muh belleh! TOUCH IT!"
Trinity soon discovers the pain of labour. A far cry from my own where I was at a hospital in agony from 1am til he finally evacuated thirteen hours later at 2pm, Trinity merely walks over to the cot, scrunches up her face, and then her belly explodes! Shooting the baby into position.
OHMYGOSH. Mrs Brown's Boys. Christmas episode. Shooting Baby Jesus out of the cannon.
Excuse me for a moment.
HAHAHA! :D coughs discreetly ~ Back to our scheduled programming. The newborn baby, Alexander Kael, harasses their sleep schedules for one whole day and night before Paolo strolls into the bedroom, taps the crib three times, and transforms the baby into a toddler. LOOK AT THAT HAIR. Think there's both a bit of mum and a bit of dad in that fancy hair style. I approve.
The Sims 4 Legacy Challenge website gave me the random generated trait of, "Your toddler shall henceforth be... INQUISITIVE!" - so now Alexander roams the hallways at all hours, and boogies to the beat while people are sleeping.
Both parents are "Music Lovers", so I guess we have another in our midst.
I have the MCCC mod on my Sims 4 so I can deal with errors and whatnot... but it also allows a few other things. Like a 15% chance at pregnancy when -not- "trying for a baby." So, we'll find out in our next episode if young Alexander gets a sibling to call his own, or if he's the One True Heir for The Kael Legacy.
With a hairdo like that, I almost hope that there will be no other children to possibly carry this thing on. MAY THE BEST HAIR WIN.
See you next time for Episode Three, which could be tomorrow or next week! Who knows.
(I do have a lot of writing to do tomorrow, so, tomorrow is doubtful ;) Especially considering Alexander will probably be a teenager/young adult next episode. Will be a few days!)
Until next time. Farewell!
