Episode Two
We're still on Generation One at the moment š® when I was attempting the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge, each post was a new generation! Apparently more happens and I have more to say when it comes to the Sims 3. š
All the more posts to ambush you with, muahaha! š
All screenshots in this post were taken by me, , and are from the game, The Sims 3.
When we left off in the last episode, the Great Alexandria, Founder of the Kael Legacy, had given birth to twins!
Melanie is the first-born and thus -- at the moment, unless a future red-head is born -- is the heir to Generation Two, so Alexandria makes special note to take extra care of her special little girl, the one who will one day usurp her place as the Great Kael.
While Alexandria is doting upon her favourite child, Christopher is out doing what he does best... fishing for Alexandria's garden! Beneath the relaxing midnight moon, waiting for the fish to bite, an urge comes over him - an overwhelming urge! He wants to march back inside that house and perform babymaking activities with his wife, who has only just literally had twins.
Apparently two children aren't good enough - HE MUST HAVE MORE.
While pondering the future of his... er, Alexandria's... legacy, a zombie pulls itself out of the ground, attracted by the light of the full moon, and gurgles at Christopher.
Unfazed by zombie drool, Christopher transforms into a werewolf and howls for a bit. Disappointed, the zombie decides that the foolish fishing man will not taste good after all and decides to hunt for some plants instead. Because in the Sims 3, zombies are vegetarians. Mostly.
Hopefully it doesn't scent Alexandria's prized garden. Hopefully the fence wards the creature off. Hopefully her perfect plants will not be mauled to shreds...
A local celebrity in the renowned town of Sunset Valley invites Alexandria to a costume party! Excited for the Kael Legacy to finally get the notice it deserves, Alexandria rushes to the party only to find it was all a cruel joke.
Hotdogs.
Hotdogs everywhere.
Memories of eating fifty hotdogs in twenty seconds return to haunt her. The aftermath of the incident floods her mouth in a resurgence of phantom bile. Will the hotdogs never end?
Swallowing down her nausea, Alexandria deigns to talk to a woman dressed as a hotdog whilst a nearby chef protests the vile food in spectacular fashion, screeching into a megaphone for all to hear.
Don't. Eat. Hotdogs. They are not a food!
A day after the Hotdog Party, its time for the twins to grow up. Unfortunately one of them didn't get the memo and simply lies on the floor.
Alexandria calls for help, "Doctor, doctor! One of the twins refuses to get bigger!"
The doctor, on the phone, "Have you considered breast implants?"
Alexandria, "Not those twins, you imbecile!"
You just can't get good help these days.
After much horn tooting, flag waving, and frantic phonecalls, both girls are the correct age and start devouring big girl food! Aren't they just delightful? š
Christopher begins freeing the twins from their high-chairs when he notices something odd about Melanie's eyes...
"Oh no," he thinks to himself, paling as he see's the tell-tale gleam of the supernatural embedded behind Mel's green sheen. "She has my curse!"
Quickly, Christopher throws on his clothes and runs to the hospital where he removes his own curse. Any future children will not harbour his hairy genes! Unfortunately, Melanie is the heir... Christopher huddles in the alchemist shop and tries to sort through his emotions.
Alexandria can never know that her first-born is a werewolf. He must learn the ways of Wizardry and save the Legacy from his curse. He must cure the child before she reaches adulthood. It is the only way.
Running to the counter, he demands help from the Alchemist, "Do you have potent cure potions? No? I have to create it myself? Teach me your ways!"
Desperate to build his own 'man shed,' Christopher flings some money at Alexandria and convinces her to upgrade the house a bit. A new room for the girls when they grow up! But he would like a man-shed too. Just a small shed to call his own. Not for any nefarious purposes. He swears.
Nothing nefarious at all...............
"Must find a cure. Must find a cure. Must find a cure," is the litany repeating through his head as he searches through an ancient tome for removing werewolf curses. Any curses. He was able to go to the hospital and remove his, only after he convinced his loved one to request it of him. He can't wait for Melanie to have a loved one! She needs her curse removed... now. As soon as possible. Before adulthood.
It is his destiny.
Unaware of what's going through her husband's mind, unaware of her daughter's curse, unaware of anything important in life! Alexandria has watched too much Seinfeld and begins dancing like Elaine. Hopefully her daughters don't pick up these terrible, terrible moves.
Tasked with looking after the twins as his wife returns to work to one day become the best Michelin chef in all the land, Christopher dives into Alchemy book after Alchemy book, hoping to find something, anything, to help his unwitting child, the unwitting Heir to what will one day be the Greatest Legacy in Sim-ville.
"I will cure you," Christopher whispers into Melanie's ear, not that he needs to whisper since she has exceptional wolf-like hearing. "I swear it."
Alexandria returns from her first day back at work after maternity leave... apparently suffering from yet another kitchen accident.
"This wouldn't have happened if our daughter wasn't cursed," Christopher mutters to himself, head-deep in his secret Alchemy book disguised as a fictional Sports tale.
Back in the Man Shed, Christopher attempts to create his first ever potion! Alas, it is only a simple Cure Potion... it needs to be potent. POTENT. Back to the ancient book of lore. He must find the cure before it's too late!
Whilst Christopher is obsessed with his daughter's destiny, Alexandria jumps out of bed and spins about in a quick, sparkly circle. She is pregnant again! Christopher did want another child... out there, while he was pondering by the moon-lit lakeside.
Their growing family will ensure Sunset Valley is full of Kael Blood -- the Legacy will live on through many future families!
Because Alexandria is pregnant once more, it is time for the twins to grow up prematurely. They know how to walk and talk and are toilet trained. It is time.
Christopher silently curses beneath his breath but acts the happy father. He needs more time!
"She won't be able to hide it for much longer," Christopher winces, watching as Melanie stares hungrily out the window at some passing horses.
Not long after the twins' birthday party, Alexandria thought it would be a good idea to do some cardio while heavily pregnant. After one jumping jack too many, she doubles over in pain.
It is time. To the hospital!
The birth of the twins imbued her with a little more common-sense. Instead of walking to the hospital, barefoot, in the rain, she thinks to call a taxi.
Ahh, it's a beautiful baby girl! Isla, who shall both be brave and evil.
Eeeeek! Another pair of twins! Now we have Lucille, who is insane and hates the outdoors. Future hermit, right here.
Stunned by a third child popping out, Alexandria fumbles for a name but only comes up with 'Byjeezus.' Hopefully Byjeezus does -not- have red hair and usurp the Legacy Heir from Melanie, not with such an unfortunate name.
Shellshocked by her experience at the hospital, Alexandria jams all three babies into a tiny basket and stumbles home. Then stares. Dully. Unsure as to what to do. Five children. FIVE. This was not how she envisioned her life. This was not her plan.
Unaware of his wife's post-natal depression, Christopher slams his Alchemy tome shut and jumps around with glee! He has discovered the potion that he has long sought. He will cure his daughter of her affliction. His wife will never know that their heir was once cursed with Lycanthropy...
...now... he just needs to obtain the ingredients. Ingredients that cannot grow when it is snowing... Will Spring come quick enough?
Until next time. ššš
