Hello! Welcome to episode two of the Sims 3 Legacy Challenge, a challenge where we make fun of bad romance over ten generations of Sim-people and hope that other stuff happens too.

Now, let's get back to it! š
All screenshots in this post were taken by me, , and are from the game, The Sims 3.
When we left off in the last episode Alexandria Kael had finally acquired a countertop for her kitchen. At last, she can cook her own things! No longer does she rely on free food from the restaurant and assorted picnic baskets at the park! Determined to increase her cooking skills and prove to her restaurant that she deserves all the promotions, she pours everything onto a wooden board and mixes it all together without such paltry commoner items such as "bowls."
With a fully, happy belly full of home-cooked food, Alexandria decides to top up her restaurant wage with some random things-to-sell. Trawling along the beach-side, she finds lots of metals and gemstones with the odd flower peeking out of the sand. Perfect. All of this will go towards upgrading her shack and transforming it into a proper home! One day, maybe one day, there'll be a Kael who'll be able to keep the magical things they find... it all begins here.
Unable to spy any more goods to sell and now bored with the endeavour, she wanders to the park and stumbles over her own feet, disgusted by the sharp whiff of hotdogs that penetrates her nostrils like stinky doom. Although she is traumatised by the last time she attempted to eat fifty hotdogs in twenty seconds, she finds herself walking towards those currently in the competition and stares at them in disdain.
"Filthy, filthy animals," she whispers to herself, watching as bread and frankfurts disappear at an alarming rate.
Returning to work as a vegetable slicer, she raises an eyebrow and sniffs at a teenager with unfortunate hair, then saunters into her workplace, determined to never foist such horrible hair-styles on her future children.
"Maybe I should quit cooking and become a stylist and re-make all the people in this town, give them some style!" she ponders, then shakes her head. "Nah."
As though Karma didn't appreciate her unkind thoughts towards the hot-dog eaters and mullet-boy, Alexandria comes home from work singed to the bone after an oven "incident" in the final hour of her shift.
While casually acquiring a tan to hide the scorch-marks on her skin, the next day Alexandria hires some builders to do some upgrades to her house, allowing her a large enough space for a -double- bed, improved tiling in the bathroom and woodwork around the house, and a much nicer toilet and shower! Bad plumbing and randomly cold showers are now a thing of the past!
Even better, now she can invite certain male specimens home after dates and dinners to test out her new bed!
Wasting no time and ignoring her burns, Alexandria makes a quick call to Christopher and gets down to business. They then bask in their post-coital glow.
Wasting no time, Alexandria leaps out of bed and proposes to Christopher and then they get married on the spot without worrying about bachelor/bachelorette parties, priests, receptions, and all that unnecessary jazz.
HE COMES WITH MONEY AND A CAT.
With marital moneys, and a bit extra thanks to selling a Big Lemon car Christopher happened to have hidden in his inventory, Alexandria rubs her hands together with glee and starts designing and decorating a new house! Even creating a spare room for the cat she didn't ask for...
...it doesn't take long for her to pick up the phone and ask to put the beastie up for adoption. That room could be for a future child! Children! Legacy furthering! Pets can come later when they can afford to have such creatures.
In the meantime, young Christopher wants to join the angler career. Alexandria is fully supportive. He can sell some fish and make money, catch some fish to stock their fridge with for when she desires some homecooked fish n chips, AND, perhaps the best boon to come from this career desire, she will have fertiliser for her growing garden. They are the perfect match, she sighs wistfully.
Sims-God-Kaelci decides that it would be nice if there could be portraits painted of each and every heir of this Legacy and forms a cunning plan to immortalise Christopher in the form of Sunset Valley's Great Artist. Alexandria shrugs and keeps reading her books. As long as he's bringing home the occasional fish, she and her garden will be happy.
Apparently, deep down inside Christopher's sim-dreams, he still loves the cat he was barely acquaintances with and paints the beast to the best of his memory. Forgetting that the cat he once owned was grey and fluffy, he imagines it to be a grand ginger complete with ribbons and personality! And silently curses his wife for putting his beloved grey ginger he can't remember the name of up for adoption.
Alexandria says, "Honey! I'm pregnant! Prepare the booties!"
Christopher gives her a thumbs up and pronounces in his best Borat accent, "Very nice."
After many, many hours, days, weeks! of learning how to hold a paintbrush, Christopher is now adept at painting portraits. The Grand Founder of the Kael Legacy, The Great Alexandria Kael, will be immortalised forevermore on canvas, as will each of her Heirs. š
In her last days of pregnancy, Alexandria got invited to a pool party at a house with no pool! š ššš Hypnotised by the gleaming wings of the young man dancing atop the kitchen counter, she feels the first pains of labour and...
...stumbles to the hospital, barefoot, in the rain, and without a taxi despite being nearly two blocks away...
...and comes home with twins! The firstborn is Melanie whose first randomised traits are - loves the outdoors, genius - and the secondborn is Acacia whose randomised traits are - disciplined, friendly.
I guess we shall see who The Chosen Heir shall be come their childhood. Will it be Firstborn Melanie? Will Secondborn Acacia inherit Alexandria's red hair and thus leap the hurdle of Firstborn Rights to become the Favoured One?
Time will tell...!
...until next time. ššš
