The first day on blizzcon is over and I can't help but say I'm a little disappointed in the announcements presented this year, usually every year there are at least 2 universes that get good announcements and the others get sidelined, but this year was pretty weak on all fronts so far.
This year everything was... well meh... The only decent announcement we got was the new Overwatch hero, Ashe, and Reunion the new Mccree cinematic which was pretty cool. Really looking forward to playing around with her, she seems pretty cool and get ultimate is pretty unique.
World of Warcraft... all the stuff they talked about we already knew + a classic release date that is at least 8 months away... so no hype for that yet, at least they confirmed that you will get access to it without having to pay more which will be great for current players and their sub numbers overall.
Heroes of the Storm got a hero announcement, Orphea, which looks interesting and to be fair they had some amazing releases this year and probably are exhausted. Looking forward for what's next here since I usually jump to heroes when I get bored of Overwatch.
Hearthstone... to be fair I've never gotten into it but I did enjoy watching the trailer for their new expansion.
Starcraft... well there was nothing relevant about starcraft... some voice pack or something like that... pretty sad since it's one of the communities they milk the most with esports.
The star of the show was probably Warcraft 3: Reforged and everyone and their grandma knew this was coming after a leak last year...
And the one I really wanted to shine... Diablo... It was a poopy mobile game announcement and the re-release of Diablo 3 a 6 years old game on the Switch... at least this could be the beginning of a new Nintendo-Blizzard partnership which could be really cool...
