Mazer Gaming matched up against Team Flogel in their first match of the Due Process League. Coming into this league, Mazer Gaming is the favorite to take home the championship. Levels are built in-house via a procedurally assisted level generation process and are delivered weekly via steam update, which means you won't be playing on the same stale level. Their level designers edit each level before it goes out and are constantly trying new concepts.
Kicking off the first match of the season, Mazer Gaming started off strong. They quickly gained a 3-0 lead in the first 12-round match out of two being played today. We shown our skill off as the attackers but struggled a ton on the defensive rounds. The match ended up in a tie, with both teams each winning 6 rounds respectively. Heading into the second and final game, a victory of this match was needed to take home the win. We started off the second match hot, putting ourselves up 4 round to 0. Once again, we allowed the other team to come back into the match, but ended up taking it home 7-4 and winning the series against Team Flogel. We gained a total of 1.5 points for the day (1 for the win and 0.5 for the tie) putting us at #1 out of eight teams in the league.
