We are starting to get a few games on the Steem blockchain now. How many have you played? Do you know them all and what type of games they are? I will give a breif description of each for those that may not know about them.
Please Note: There are also some gambling games on Steem which I have not added to this list.

SPLINTERLANDS

Starting with the first game on Steem, Hive account@splinterlands. For those of you living under a rock Splinterlands is a trading card game. You buy a starter pack and then you have everything you need to play. You can earn dark energy crystals through game play, that can be used to buy booster packs or a specific card. Slowly build your deck over time or spend money to get it now.
When battling you and your opponent, build your team to the battle requirements. Then the battle plays out. The stratergy is knowing what cards in your deck work well together and fit the battle requirements.
There are also tournaments, season rankings, guilds and a whole lot more that you can get involved with. So why not check it out.

NEXT COLONY

Hive account@nextcolony is a strategy role playing game set in Space. Set in the future at a time when Earth can no longer support us. The remnants of the Human race take to space looking to establish the Next Colony to call home.
You start out with a planet Alpha. This is your new home, from here you can build a base and start sending ships out to explore and start new colonies. But beware other survivors have founded their own colonies and instead of looking for new planets to colonise they may be happy to steal your resources.
As with most games like this you need to decide on what type of player you will be, the sooner you do this the better off you will be. Build and Defend or Search and Destroy.
You have over a dozen Ships types you can build, both Offence and Defence.
You can even find Stardust or Sell Planets and Ships to earn Stardust, which can be transferred to Steem Engine.

DRUGWARS

Who does not like a good Mafia game? Hive account@drugwars is a fun game if you like pvp.
Starting out as a mafia boss you slowly build your empire buy selling Drugs, Guns and Alcohol.
You use these upgrade your buildings and hire troops.
The more Drugs you make the more you get paid out in Drug Wars Dollars, which can be transferred to Steem Engine.
Whilst you can upgrade your vaults to hide your goods, it is safer to build up troops to defend or attack others.
You can also do Jobs where you can send your troops out on a mission. Join a Gang and take over the world together.

HOLYBREAD

Hive account@holybread is about to launch. It is a Role playing game in which you send your characters on missions to gain experience, find gold, items and even other characters.
There is also a PVP arena where you can battle with other characters.
Given time it will be interesting to see what updates will be launched to help grow and shape this game. But for the moment be sure to join the game when it launches so you can get a good place on the arena leader board early.

Steem Nova

Hive account@steemnova or Steem Nova 2 as some call it due to a relaunch of Steem Nova giving the game a nice fresh look and rebooting the game.
Steem Nova was actually the first space strategy role playing game on Steem.
The building system is a lot quicker to use then Next Colony and you can queue up to 5 jobs.
You can build fleets to found new planets, attack your neighbours or even just for self defence.
You can also send your fleet into deep space in the hope of finding something special.
If you like Space games then it is definitely worth checking out.

Steem Knights

Hive account@steemknights is a Chess Style of game where you bet on your game that you will win.
Like Chess you move pieces around to do battle with your opponent the winner is decided by who's king is still standing at the end of the game.
You get a King and a Trap to place then your troops are randomly given melee, range or magic abilities.
The person who finds their opponents King first is the victor.
This game is about strategy and a bit of luck.
You can play both a free to play game or bet on the game, its up to you.

Hash Kings

Hive account@hashkings is a farming game where you can grow different types of Cannabis.
You buy a plot and some seeds, then start farming. The only thing you need to do is water your seeds to get them to grow. Once your Cannabis has grow you can harvest the seeds and sell them or buy more plots and plant more.

Road Of Rich

Hive account@roadofrich is a role playing game. In which you can collect resources to sell or use to craft items. You collect Items by sending out your mercenaries to battle, harvest and mine.
You can even purchase your own home.
Sign-in is only available via a google account.
Road of rich is not built on Steem Blockchain from what I understand, but you can earn Steem through game play, so I thought it worth adding in.

Rada Quest

Not much is know about Hive account@radaquest as it is still in development. Awesome artwork can be found for it though and we are told it will be a Stratergy role playing game. Keep an eye out for this games launch.

Steem Quest

Hive account@steemquest is a role playing game played out on Steem in the form of posts and comments.
It is a lot of fun and the best part is you get to play out the story. Your actions directly influence the story and direction of the game.
It is also one of only two games, that I am aware of, that is using SteemEngine NFT’s .
You get Four actions a turn and there is rules you need to follow.
You have forty-eight hours to take your turn before the next post is posted.
It is definitely different to your normal online games but it is a little more person as you help tell the story.

Steem City

Hive account@steemcity is a city building game being played in discord using SteemEngine NFT’s. Buildings can affect your popularity, population and income.
