The Assassin Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is highly customizable, offering extensive features for players.
After introducing stealth, combat, and parkour mechanics, Ubisoft has shared fresh details about The Hideout, the secret base in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Located in Izumi Province, this hideout is managed by a character named Miss Tomiko and serves as a hub for building and expanding the Assassin Brotherhood.
Dany St-Laurent, the game’s systems director, stated:
"We’ve always had locations like fortresses, villas, settlements, ships, and Assassin bases in the Assassin’s Creed series. So, if we wanted to create something new, we had to take a bold step. This time, players have complete freedom to build their hideout as they wish."
Customization & Gameplay Features
Players have access to one hectare of land for full customization. However, constructing and upgrading the hideout requires gathering resources like wood, minerals, and crops, alongside the in-game currency Mons. External elements such as paths, fences, and light sources can be placed freely. Additionally, decorations can be obtained through missions, contracts, merchants, and enemy territories.
The Hideout includes several key areas affecting gameplay, such as:
Tomiko’s Hiroma: The central hub controlling all Hideout functions.
Stables: Houses scouts who smuggle resources each season.
Forge: A blacksmith workshop for upgrading and modifying equipment, engraving abilities, and altering armor and weapons.
Kakurega: Allows players to buy safe houses, which act as fast travel points and tool refills, while also managing allies and regional contracts.
Dojo: A training ground for improving allies' skills.
Release Date & Playtime
Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on March 20, 2025 (30 Esfand 1403) for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Reports indicate that reviews will be published on March 18, 2025 (28 Esfand 1403).
The main story will take 30 to 40 hours to complete.
With side content, the total playtime extends to 80 hours.
