Browsing reddit tonight I discovered The First Tree.
The reddit post has a gif with some parts of the game's trailer. I instantly loved the style :
What's even more impressive is that David Wehle, who made the game, doesn't code.
So the saving grace for me actually making a working game was Playmaker in Unity. It's a paid plugin that does "visual scripting" which is amazing for an artist like myself. You still have to learn but it's much easier (...)
It is a a third-person exploration game centered around two parallel stories: a fox trying to find her missing family, and a young couple dealing with a death in theirs.
The style is really wonderful. As other said, it shares some common traits with firewatch and shelter :
I loved those two games and will certainly buy and play this one. It has a 8/10 rating on steam. I will post a feedback later.
