As every year, with FIFA 18, Electronic Arts has broken records in the sales charts. Every year the company releases a new installment of the soccer simulator with great success among fans of the saga. However, FIFA players are beginning to be fed up with some of the company's policies, which are causing difficulties also in the launch of other videogames.
FIFA users have grown tired of micropayments in the football simulator and are already mobilizing to let the company know. It all started with a post on Reddit, made by the user SSROCK, claiming that the updates were streamlined to correct errors in the game and that it re-regulated the advantage that micropayments offered to players.
Given that their demands were not met, the Internet user tried to organize a boycott of the company coinciding with a time when sales tend to skyrocket, such as Black Friday. He called all FIFA 18 players not to use micropayments on November 24, in addition to filling Twitter with the #FixFIFA hastag, so that the company was aware of the amount of people who are upset with the current state of the game.
He also opened a petition on Change.org to achieve his goals. At the moment the proposal already has more than 30,000 signatures: "The only thing I ask you is to take into account my request to give all the fans of the saga what we deserve," says SSROCK. "We are loyal year after year. Each course we buy the new release, we even booked it, it's something I did this year, I also bought envelopes. "
