Graphics in the game are important but what is amazing graphics if the game has no substance. What is important to me is having a game with a back story, A plot line that really get you into the lore for that game. For example look at Fallout 4 the graphics ain't anything close to a game like Battlefront 2, but the story was pretty good for the most part not as great as Fallout 3. So when you take pretty good graphics and you mix it with a really good storyline and gameplay I think you get a better game than just having a game that's pretty to look at.
